Wiley-Blackwell new journal pricing policy for 2009:

Wiley has notified us of a new pricing model for subscription year 2009. The following options will be available for Wiley and Blackwell journals in 2009:

- Print only
- Online + Print, for single-site institutions. Includes print subscription, unlimited online access back to 1997 for most journals, perpetual access to paid content, and counter-compliant usage statistics.
- Online only, for single-site institutions. Includes unlimited online access back to 1997 for most journals, perpetual access to paid content, and counter-compliant usage statistics.
- Online license arrangement, for large single-site institutions, multi-site institutions and consortia. Includes multi-year contracts with price caps.
- Subject and custom collections for subscribers with an online license arrangement

Blackwell's Standard subscription will no longer be available in 2009. If you currently carry Blackwell Standard subscriptions, please contact service@harrassowitz.de by September 30, 2008, to let us know which option you would like us to use when renewing these subscriptions.

We will renew current Blackwell Premium print + online subscriptions at the online + print rate. Depending on the licenses for both publishers, customers or their consortia may be asked to sign a combined Wiley-Blackwell license for 2009.

The discount on print journals for customers with an online license arrangement will now be 15% for both publishers (formerly Wiley's was 10% and Blackwell's 20%).

Libraries that have current subscriptions with HARRASSOWITZ for either Wiley or Blackwell journals will receive individual e-mails in the next few weeks with current subscription title lists.

2009 prices for Blackwell and Wiley journals will not be available until the end of August. When the prices are announced, they will immediately be added to OttoSerials.

By now you are aware that the journals formerly hosted on Blackwell Synergy have been merged into Wiley InterScience as of July 1st, 2008, and Blackwell Synergy is no longer available. HARRASSOWITZ has been closely monitoring recent problems with the move, and we ask you to please report loss of access to any of your Blackwell or Wiley online journals to service@harrassowitz.de.
