Scientific American now available by online site license at nature.com:

Nature Publishing Group (NPG) has announced that online access to Scientific American will be available at nature.com starting in November, 2009.

Access will be through the NPG institutional site license model. Access includes full text access (both HTML and PDF) and post-cancellation rights to every issue published within the license period, and access to an additional four years of archived content during the license period. As a special introductory offer, NPG will include all content back to 1993, with full post-cancellation rights, for all orders sent before March 31, 2010.

Pricing for the online site license is based on the FTE count for the entire organization.
