SAGE Journals subscription options for 2008:SAGE Publications offers several options for most of its journals for subscription year 2008. If you would like to change your subscription option for 2008, please contact service@harrassowitz.de by August 15. In the absence of instructions by August 15, customers currently receiving the print option will be renewed with the "Print including basic online access" option for 2008. The following options are available: Combined Institutional Subscription - includes site-wide online access to all content in the current volume and the backfile from 1999 onward, plus a print copy of each issue in the current volume. Online backfile access remains available as long as the subscription is active. See below for perpetual access rights. Combined Plus Backfile Institutional Subscription (new in 2007) - includes site-wide online access to all content in the current volume and the complete backfile starting with Volume 1 of the journal, plus a print copy of each issue in the current volume. Online backfile access remains available as long as the subscription is active. See below for perpetual access rights. Print with basic online access (new in 2008) includes a print copy of each issue in the current volume plus site-wide online access to the current and previous year. This subscription option is 2% less than the Combined Institutional rate. This option includes no perpetual access rights to the online content. E-Access Institutional Subscription - includes site-wide online access to all content in the current volume and the backfile from 1999 onward. It does not include print copies. Online backfile access remains available as long as the subscription is active. This option is available at 10% less than the Combined Institutional Subscription rate. E-Access Plus Backfile Institutional Subscription - includes site-wide online access to all content in the current volume and the complete backfile to Volume 1 of the journal. It does not include print copies. Online backfile access remains available as long as the subscription is Perpetual access rights - Customers retain perpetual access to all online content that they have specifically subscribed to. SAGE began offering online subscriptions in 1999; therefore, customers who have subscribed to online volumes for any period of time from 1999 onward SAGE retains the right to provide customers with the purchased online content in a digital medium for local hosting in the future. The Combined and E-access subscription options include temporary access to all or part of the journal backfile. A paid subscription order for 2008 includes perpetual access to the purchased content (the volume published in 2008) and temporary access to the back volumes included in the subscription option. The temporary access to backfile volumes will continue as long as the library maintains a current paid Combined or E-access subscription. Customers may also purchase perpetual access to the complete backfile of individual journals or of all SAGE journals for a one-time fee plus an annual "technology fee."
