Joseph Ratzinger has been a very prolific and influential writer and theologian all through his life as Bishop, University Professor, Archbishop, Cardinal, Head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and currently as Pope Benedict XVI. This prompted Herder Verlag and the editors to present a first edition of Joseph Ratzinger's Complete Works. The edition is projected to consist of 16 volumes. Each volume will have a theme and collect all the publications that Joseph Ratzinger has written on that particular topic. Each volume is expected to come in 500 to 700 pages. The projection is to have 2 to 3 volumes published per year, so that the edition should be complete in 6 years, by 2014 or 2015.
Subscribers to the complete work will receive special terms, the price for a standing order will be approximately 10% less than the price of the separate volumes.
