De Gruyter Journal Archive:

De Gruyter is in the process of digitizing many of its active journals going back to vol. 1, issue 1. They will be available online through de Gruyter's Reference Global platform starting in summer 2009. The de Gruyter Journal Archive 1826-1997 includes 2.3 million pages of content from 89 journal titles in various subject areas.

The archive may be purchased as one complete package or as any of the following subject packages:

Science, Technology, Medicine (STM)
Linguistics, Literature, Communications
Classical Studies and Theology
Philosophy
Library and Information Science
Law

De Gruyter's journal archives are available for a one-time purchase price. There is no annual access fee. Existing customers may upgrade their purchased packages at any time to include titles newly added to the archive.

Issues from 1998 through 2008 are available automatically to current subscribers as long as their subscription includes perpetual access. Customers can also purchase this content independently of their subscriptions.

De Gruyter ensures access to its electronic content over time by participating in major digital archiving initiatives. The future of de Gruyter's journal content is now especially secure thanks to a cooperative agreement with Portico. Through this agreement, Portico holds an archival backup copy, thereby safeguarding access to the content for future scholars, researchers and students.
