Special Offer (January 2011) Piano Editions published by Van Sambeek Edities:
Van Sambeek Edities (Amsterdam) publish music of the period 1780-1850 which despite its undisputed quality is not available in a modern edition. Furthermore music is published in cases where available editions do not reflect modern standards or where the music is so far only available in the form of a facsimile.
The editions are based on original printed sources or on manuscripts held by archives and libraries. The main emphasis is on solo piano pieces and chamber music with piano. The appearance of the original printed source is preserved as far as possible, which means for example that any 'inconsistencies' in the indication of dynamics, ornamentation or articulation are mostly retained, and fingering is only shown if indicated in the historical source. The aim is to build a series of ready-to-use editions. All editions published by Van Sambeek Edities are available from HARRASSOWITZ. Please note that in future editions by Van Sambeek Edities will come on your approval plan, if your profile includes music before 1900 (with comprehensive or selective level of selection). If your profile doesn't include music before 1900 at all or only with a restrictive level of selection, you are invited naturally to add Van Sambeek Edities to your approval plan in case of your special interest in this publisher.
