Renewal season is here again!

To expedite the renewal process, all HARRASSOWITZ periodicals customers will soon receive by e-mail a renewal list in the form of a spreadsheet of all their current subscriptions with HARRASSOWITZ. The subject line of the e-mail will be "HARRASSOWITZ Renewal List – please read." If you receive a spreadsheet and you are not the correct renewal contact person, please forward the message to the correct person. If your library has not received the renewal spreadsheet by June 30, please contact service@harrassowitz.de so that we may be sure that you receive one.

For the library's convenience, HARRASSOWITZ has included columns in the spreadsheet where the library may indicate its renewal instructions. Detailed information for completing the enhanced renewal list is found on the second tab of the spreadsheet.

In order for HARRASSOWITZ to comply with publishers' renewal and cancellation deadlines, please annotate the spreadsheet with any changes and cancellations and return it by e-mail before September 1, 2009.

For libraries whose subscriptions are on an annual renewal basis, HARRASSOWITZ will not renew any subscriptions automatically. HARRASSOWITZ will renew annual renewal subscriptions only upon receipt of renewal instructions for 2010.

For libraries whose subscriptions are on a "renew until forbid" basis, in the absence of any renewal instructions by September 1, HARRASSOWITZ will assume that there should be no changes or cancellations and will renew all subscriptions as currently on record.

If cancellations are received after the library's subscriptions have been renewed, refunds will be provided only if HARRASSOWITZ receives a refund from the publisher. Refunds will not include any service charges already billed.

Please remember to inform HARRASSOWITZ of any new, changed or cancelled e-package deals, including those handled through a consortium. Any updates should be emailed to service@harrassowitz.de.

While HARRASSOWITZ encourages libraries to use the Annual Renewal List, renewal instructions may also be submitted directly through OttoSerials or via email to service@harrassowitz.de.
